The evening was organised by Martin Peters (Director of Residential Services) and Obi Unaka (Deputy Director), alongside Roland Williams, internationally recognised Addictions Specialist, author of Recovery is A Verb, and CEO of Gorski-CENAPS® Corporation.
The gathering wasn’t just about a great meal - it was about meaningful conversations, shared experiences, and building stronger connections within our professional community. From exchanging insights on treatment practices to sharing laughter over stories, the evening was a wonderful reminder of the value of coming together.
We look forward to hosting more such dinners in Mumbai and continuing to strengthen collaborations with colleagues who share our commitment to advancing mental health and addiction recovery.
We recently hosted comedian and writer Rohan Joshi at Samarpan Recovery & De-addiction Services in Mumbai for an honest and insightful conversation about mental health. The discussion was led by our clinical psychologist, Raksha Rajesh, and covered everything from therapy and grief to career choices, storytelling, and finding balance in life.
Over the course of the episode, Rohan opens up about his personal journey - losing a parent, discovering therapy, working through nine years of self-discovery, leaving engineering to pursue comedy, and navigating life after AIB. Together, Rohan and Raksha explore topics like:
This conversation is a reminder that mental health struggles are universal and that seeking support is a powerful first step toward healing.
We’re also excited to share that next month, actor Arjun Gupta will be joining us to talk about men’s mental health, experiences with clinical depression, and creator ethics and responsibilities.
