We were delighted to host Nuno Albuquerque, internationally recognised Addictions Therapist, at our centre in Mulshi, Pune. Nuno spent two days with us, getting to know our program, meeting our staff, and sharing his extensive experience in the field. Over the years, he has worked with some of the most respected treatment providers across the UK and Europe - both as a therapist and in senior supervisory roles.
Nuno brings with him a wealth of knowledge, not only in treating substance use disorders but also in areas such as sex and gaming addictions. He also runs online supervisory groups for therapists, further extending his impact in shaping the next generation of addiction professionals.
Reflecting on the visit, Martin Peters and Obi Unaka shared: “As an international rehab centre, building partnerships with colleagues around the world is an important part of our positioning as a premier rehab centre in India, and in promoting India as a rehab destination. We are always pleased to host professionals so they can learn more about our program and approaches, and explore opportunities to collaborate.”
We are grateful to Nuno for taking the time to visit us, share his insights, and strengthen the professional bridges that help us deliver the very best care. Wishing him safe travels and hoping to welcome him back soon.
We recently hosted comedian and writer Rohan Joshi at Samarpan Recovery & De-addiction Services in Mumbai for an honest and insightful conversation about mental health. The discussion was led by our clinical psychologist, Raksha Rajesh, and covered everything from therapy and grief to career choices, storytelling, and finding balance in life.
Over the course of the episode, Rohan opens up about his personal journey - losing a parent, discovering therapy, working through nine years of self-discovery, leaving engineering to pursue comedy, and navigating life after AIB. Together, Rohan and Raksha explore topics like:
This conversation is a reminder that mental health struggles are universal and that seeking support is a powerful first step toward healing.
We’re also excited to share that next month, actor Arjun Gupta will be joining us to talk about men’s mental health, experiences with clinical depression, and creator ethics and responsibilities.
