Samarpan Health Outpatient Services recently participated in a conference hosted by Zonalta, a global pharmaceutical leader in formulation development and manufacturing. The event marked the launch of Zonalta’s breakthrough medication for bipolar disorder and focused on advancing clinical understanding, application, and practice.
The day opened with scientific context-setting and a keynote by Dr. Ashish Deshpande, who spoke on addictions and the neurobiology that underpins them. The session, chaired by Dr. Priyanka Thukral Mahajan, brought valuable clinical reflections that set the stage for deeper discussions. A panel featuring Dr. Deshpande, fellow psychiatrists, and Zonalta’s scientific team examined the management of bipolar disorder and substance use disorders, while highlighting how the new molecule could improve treatment outcomes.
Representing Samarpan were psychologists Raksha Rajesh and Dr. Ria Talwar, alongside BD Executive Insiyah Lokhandwala, who engaged with leading psychiatrists across Mumbai.
