Samarpan Recovery & De-addiction Services were honoured to host a mental health professionals dinner at The Ivy Brasserie in Oxford, bringing together an incredible group of experts in mental health, addiction, and trauma from around the world.
The evening was graciously hosted by our benefactor Mr. Shrenik Baldota and supported by Obi Unaka, Director of Residential Services, and Martin Peters, Head of Operations. It was a night filled with friendship, meaningful conversations, and plenty of opportunities to learn from one another’s experiences.
We were delighted to welcome a remarkable group of attendees, including Martin Preston, Paul Flynn, Fiona Y., Mahisha Naidu, Andrea Taylor MSc MBacp, Fdap, Natasha Silver Bell, Meena Lavender, Michael Rawlinson, Don Lavender, Dr. Kirsty Loudon, Rob Watt, Katerina Watt, Lou Lebentz, and Stephen Fatuga. Their presence made the evening truly special.
The dinner was more than just a social gathering, it was a space to exchange ideas, strengthen professional relationships, and highlight the work we are undertaking in India to bring evidence-based, compassionate care to those in need.
We still have a couple of days left here in Oxford and look forward to connecting with more colleagues at The Masters Events in The Examination Schools at the University of Oxford. After that, we’ll continue our conversations with other incredible professionals in London next week.
This event reaffirmed the value of collaboration, dialogue, and shared learning - all of which are at the heart of Samarpan’s mission in advancing addiction recovery and mental health care globally.
