Samarpan Visits UKESAD 2025 in London

Samarpan Recovery recently earned global recognition at the prestigious UK/European Symposium on Addictive Disorders (UKESAD) in London. Representing the centre, Chief Operations Officer Martin Peters and Chief Clinical Officer Obi Unaka delivered a powerful session on implementing evidence-based addiction treatment in culturally sensitive settings - a theme central to Samarpan’s mission.

Their presence not only highlighted India’s growing role in modern addiction recovery but also reinforced the importance of blending international best practices with local cultural understanding. The conference brought together leading clinicians, organisations and experts from across the world, making it the ideal platform for Samarpan to share its work and vision. The proudest moment came at the DB Recovery + McLean Hospital Awards Night, where Martin and Obi were honoured with the prestigious “Treatment Pioneers of the Year” award.

The award recognised their pioneering work in launching India’s first internationally accredited residential rehab facility and their dedication to compassionate, person-centred care. For Samarpan, this is an affirmation of its mission to bring world-class, evidence-based treatment to India while ensuring every client is supported with dignity and sensitivity. The recognition also reflects Samarpan’s commitment to continuous learning, growth and raising standards in addiction treatment. With such milestones, Samarpan continues to strengthen its position as a leader in recovery, while staying true to its core ethos of healing with both science and compassion.
