Samarpan is excited to be part of the "Understanding Effective Strategies of Recovery" event, organized by The Bombay Psychiatric Society in collaboration with CMHARTS and the Addiction Medicine Specialty of the Indian Psychiatric Society, held at Ira by Orchid Hotels in Mumbai on November 17th.
Martin Peters, Head of Operations at Samarpan, will be presenting on the Gorski Model of Relapse Prevention and CBT, while Obi Unaka, Director of Residential Services, will be presenting on Group Therapy in Substance Use Disorder Treatment.

Samarpan recently had the honor of attending Lee FitzGerald's 14th Annual London Addiction Workshop, a prestigious event with over 200 attendees from 32 countries, including the USA, UK, UAE, Malaysia, Thailand, and Europe.
Martin Peters and Obi Unaka were present throughout the three-day event, hosting the Samarpan Recovery & De-addiction Services stand and sponsoring breakfast. On the evening of November 7th, they attended a professional supper hosted by Michael D Ishmail MSc of The Revoke Programme, where discussions on addiction treatment were enriched by insights from esteemed professionals including Fiona Y. Malek Yassin (The Wave Clinic), Mahisha Naidu, Brian Ballantyn
Throughout the event, Martin Peters also had the opportunity to present about the impactful work Samarpan is doing in both residential and outpatient settings, sharing experiences of working in India. We had valuable interactions with colleagues from organizations like Camino Recovery Treatment Centre, Steps Together, and Recovery.com.
Samarpan's global presence continues to grow, with clients traveling from across the world to seek treatment in India, competing alongside established rehab centers in Thailand, South Africa, and Europe. The connections made at this event will contribute to Samarpan's ongoing growth and clinical advancements.

After an insightful week at The Masters Events in Oxford, Martin Peters and Obi Unaka concluded their visit to London with meaningful professional connections and discussions.
One of the highlights was meeting with Michael McLoughlin, a seasoned addiction treatment expert with over 30 years of experience across Portugal, Pakistan, Thailand, and London. Mike's contributions to the recovery community, especially in London and Chiang Mai, are widely recognized. It was great to catch up over a cup of tea and exchange insights on the evolving field of addiction treatment.
We look forward to reconnecting with Mike later this year and continuing to build strong collaborations within the global recovery community.

On June 8th, we hosted our second Alumni Event, "Celebration of Recovery 2," at Samarpan Recovery & De-addiction Services in Mulshi. The event was an inspiring gathering of over 50 former clients, current clients, and friends, enjoying a mix of delicious Indian and international cuisines at our BBQ.
The day was filled with powerful speeches from alumni sharing their personal recovery stories, creating a vibrant atmosphere of reflection and connection. It was a heartwarming and uplifting event, and we’re already looking forward to the next one!
